Heating cable for mains watersupplyThe mains water supply needs to be heated in winter to prevent the water pipe from freezing. The picture to the left shows the summer position with the thermostat and switches set to "0". In the winter, both switches should be set to "1" and the dial set at 5 degrees as shown in the right picture. If the green light does not come on, check fuse 5 in the fuse board. If the water in the pipe has frozen, the switch can be set to position 2 for a maximum of one hour to heat up the pipe more rapidly. |

Water Stop Valve asemblyThe mains water stop valve has a blue handle. The right picture shows the stop valve in the on position (parallell with the pipe)

Make sure the red end of the hosepipe is connected to the tap and that all valves are inline with the pipes to deliver water. (As shown in the right picture) |

If there is a bad smell coming from the toilet, check that the extractor fan in the shed is installed and connected. The neares (flushing) public toilets are at Langfoss (20 minute drive) or in the towns of Odda or Røldal (25 minute drive) |
